Concept Handtufting Ltd is owned and run by Charles and Amy Lawton who have over 20 years experience in the carpet industry.
Charles is a fourth generation textile manufacturer. He was instrumental in establishing
his family business, Fred Lawton & Son Ltd, as one
of the best carpet yarn spinners in the world. During
his 17 years
with the company, Charles travelled globally and established relationships
with some of the finest manufacturers
of hand made carpets.
Amy gained a degree in Constructed
Textiles at Dundee University before joining the carpet industry in
1994. She combined her design skills with yarn technologies to create
award winning product ranges and was commissioned by carpet manufacturers
globally as
a leading colourist. The marriage of their design ability
and yarn knowledge has enabled them to bring a new dimension to Concept
Handtufting Ltd and world of luxury carpets.
